Limited to 300 copies, of which this is no. 53. [vi], 86, [40 sample pages] pp. Half cloth and hardcover boards, with faint blind-stamped design, in slipcase; gilt lettering to book's spine. John Bidwell, curator of graphic arts at Princeton University, here investigates the art of hand-made paper in England. The second part of this work contains descriptions of each of the 40 sample pages tipped-in at the rear of the volume, including what books were printed on each type of paper. Includes a sample of the rare Batchelor's Kelmscott, designed by William Morris. A clean copy. 1854280589
